GCC Manotick TT
Date: May 31, 2026
Course type: Flat / high-speed out-and-back.
Location: Manotick, Ottawa (River Road area)
Distance: 17,3 km
Elevation gain: Low / flat profile (74 m)
Terrain & feel: Fast pacing, steady power, minimal changes in grade – ideal to set a baseline and chase a PR.
Road & technicality: Predominantly straight segments, low technical demand (few turns).
Key performance factors: Wind exposure.
GCC wakefield TT
Date: Sep 06, 2026
Course type: Rolling river-road TT
Location: Chelsea and Wakefield – Chemin de la Rivière (along the Gatineau River)
Distance: 15,3 km
Elevation gain: 112 m
Terrain & feel: A more “dynamic” effort with small changes in elevation
Road & technicality: Visually stunning and mentally engaging.
Key performance factors: Micro-rolling profile.

GCC “El SIFON”
The Sifón Challenge, held on January 30th, 2026, is an extreme mountain endurance ride starting in Armero Guayabal (Tolima) and reaching Alto de Letras, covering up to 124 km with approximately 4,800 meters of elevation gain. The route climbs steadily through Líbano and Murillo, before reaching the high point at El Sifón (~4,150 m), where altitude and cold can become defining factors—especially above 3,200 m, where conditions often shift quickly. Blending long-distance climbing with high-altitude exposure and rapidly changing weather, this challenge delivers a demanding mix of terrain and scenery, making it a true test of pacing, preparation, and resilience for experienced riders.

GCC Long Ride
The Mont-Tremblant Ultrafondo, taking place on August 31st, is a demanding route stretching 396.8 km with more than 3,200 meters of elevation gain. The course travels from the heart of the region into striking landscapes, featuring iconic ascents such as the Montée 3 Sœurs and the Col du Norad, as well as the technical and scenic descent of Duplessis. Combining long-distance endurance with sustained climbing, this route offers a challenging mix of terrain and scenery, making it a true test for experienced cyclists.

A mid-summer race loved for its stunning beauty and naturally tough course. This race takes place in a region adjacent to the majestic Great Lakes—a pristine, forest getaway in Canada’s cottage country.

Meech Lake Triathlon
The Meech Lake triathlon also known as Mike Collingwood Memorial Triathlon had its first appearance in 1983 and has since been one of the most iconic races in the NCR. Taking place in the heart of Gatineau Park, our playground.

WAKEFIELD TT
GCC is organizing its first event for the cycling community of the National Capital Region. The goal is to integrate the clubs of the region through a Time Trial and a Team Time Trial of 17km in a wide and safe segment. We want to create a community and we have found a location in Manotick that can offer a good show and is very close to Ottawa.

GCC Convention
GCC will host its first-ever Convention. The agenda will cover essential topics such as nutrition for performance, body strengthening, sports psychology, and bike care and maintenance, delivered by experienced speakers from the cycling community.

CN Cycle for CHEO is a fun, non-competitive event that offers a varietyof cycling and walking routes for people of all ages and abilities. Your registration includes lunch, access to entertainment and activities, and a chance to win some fundraising prizes! Your help will raise much-needed funds to support oncology care and research for CHEO’s oncology patients.
