On Sunday, June 8, the roads of Manotick became the stage for a new chapter in the region’s cycling scene. Dozens of riders gathered to take part in a time trial that combined sport, challenge, and community spirit.

From the start line, the atmosphere was charged with energy. Participants tested their limits on a demanding route, while volunteers ensured that every detail of the event ran smoothly. Families and supporters lined the course, creating an encouraging environment that kept the cyclists motivated until the very end.

The event also highlighted the value of collaboration. Local sponsors — Bushtukah, Full Cycle, Heini, 6 Tigers Academy, and Infinity Park Loop — played a key role in making the ride possible, reinforcing the strong bond between the cycling community and regional businesses.

More than a competition, June 8 became a celebration of the values that define the club: perseverance, camaraderie, and the joy of sharing the road. The success of this edition confirms that cycling in Ottawa–Gatineau is more than a sport — it’s a growing community movement.
