Join the first asynchronous team stage event. 5 weeks, 4 stages and more than 13 segments.

This is a staged cycling event taking place in the Capital Region. The goal is to ride four different stages as a team over a five-week period.
The event must be completed as a team, with each stage featuring one to four highlighted segments where your time will be recorded.
The format is asynchronous: teams can ride each stage on the day and time that best suits them.
The twist? You’ll know the dates and the number of stages in advance, but the routes will only be revealed as you complete them.
Process
Complete the Route with Your Team and Speed Through the Timed Segments
1. Registration
Register your team of 5 to 8 participants, including at least one woman (extra points), before 22 August.
Upon registration, you’ll receive the point system and general rules.
2. First stage
On 29 August, you’ll receive the first route with the timed segments and the form to upload your results.
Complete the route and submit your results between 30 August and 4 September.
Approximate distance 59 km
3. Second stage
On 5 September, you’ll receive the second route with the timed segments and the form to upload your results.
Complete the route and submit your results between 6 and 11 September.
Approximate distance 95 km
4. Third stage
On 12 September, you’ll receive the third route with the timed segments and the form to upload your results.
Complete the route and submit your results between 13 and 18 September.
Approximate distance 90 km
5. Fourth stage
On 19 September, you’ll receive the fourth route with the timed segments and the form to upload your results.
Complete the route and submit your results between 20 and 26 September.
Approximate distance 110 km
6. Relive
Between 27 and 30 September, teams can either:
- Complete a pending route.
- Improve their times on a completed route.
Results must be submitted by 11:59 PM on 30 September.

Frequently asked questions
How much does it cost to participate?
There are two types of participation:
a) Regular participation. $25
You must register at this link
Do I need a road bike?
Yes, you need a road bike. Other types of bicycles are not suitable for this activity. The use of extensions and/or lenticular wheels is also not allowed.
Do I need a cycle computer to know my time?
You will need a phone with the Strava application installed or a bike computer that allows you to upload your activity to the application. This is essential as your times will be recorded through this tool.
Where will the Tour event be held?
All stages begin and end in Ottawa or Gatineau.
What date does the Tour start?
30 Agust.
What time does the event start?
Teams can choose the best time each week to complete the stage.
Will anyone be taking official times?
Official times will be taken automatically from the Strava app.
I would like to be a volunteer on the day of the event, can I do that?
Welcome! We need people to help us with various logistical activities. To volunteer for this event, you can write to this e-mail hello@gcclub.ca
Do I have to belong to a club to participate?
Anyone is welcome to participate, you do not have to be a member of a club. However, the intent is to have many clubs participating in this event.
Will the Tour event be canceled due to rain or inclement weather?
No. Teams can choose the best time each week to complete the stage.
Are the roads going to be closed to traffic?
Participants will ride on the open road respecting traffic regulations. Cyclists are advised to ride the route within the white line and make the two turns along the route with caution. Cyclists will ride alongside other road users.
Should I make a formal registration for the event?
What do I need to bring with me on the event?
It seems obvious, but here is what we recommend you bring:
- Road bike in perfect working order.
- A helmet.
- A bottle of water.
- Tools and basic spare parts to solve any problem.
- Medical insurance card.
- Cell phone/bike computer to upload route to Strava.
- Strava user willing to upload your route.
- Event registration form.

Strava is the most popular cycling app today and the one with which the TT times will be taken. You can register at this link: www.strava.com
Will there be a prize?
There will be prizes for the best team and surprise prizes that will be announced by the sponsors during the promotion of the event and/or during the race.
When does registration end?
Registration closes 7 days before the event.
Can I register on the day of the event if I miss the opportunity to register before registration closes?
It is not possible to register on the day of the event.
Are minors allowed to participate?
Children under 18 years of age do not participate.
