GCC x Lameda Strava Challenge

By participating in the GCC x Lameda Strava Challenge, participants agree to the following Terms & Conditions.

  1. Organizer

The GCC x Lameda Strava Challenge is organized by Grimpeurs Cycling Club (GCC) in collaboration with Lameda.

This challenge is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Strava, Instagram, Facebook, or Meta.

  1. Challenge Period

The GCC x Lameda Strava Challenge will run from June 1 to August 31, with one monthly challenge taking place in June, July, and August.

The participant discount code will be valid from June 1 to September 30.

  1. Monthly Challenge Structure

The challenge will include three monthly activations:

  • June Distance Challenge: complete 400 km between June 1 and June 30.
  • July Climbing Challenge: complete 4,000 m of elevation gain between July 1 and July 31.
  • August Distance + Elevation Challenge: complete 400 km and 4,000 m of elevation gain between August 1 and August 31.

Each monthly challenge will be communicated through GCC and/or Lameda channels.

  1. How to Participate

To participate, riders must:

  1. Join the Lameda Cycling Club on Strava.
  2. Record their cycling activities on Strava during the applicable monthly challenge period.
  3. Ensure their activities are visible to the Lameda Cycling Club and/or available for verification by the organizers.

No purchase is required to participate.

Participants are responsible for ensuring that their Strava activities are properly recorded, uploaded, and visible during the challenge period.

  1. Eligibility

The challenge is open internationally, where permitted by law.

To be eligible to receive prizes, participants must be at or above the age of majority in their country, province, state, or region of residence.

The challenge is void where prohibited by law.

  1. Monthly Prize Structure

Prizes will be awarded through random draws. Prizes will not be awarded based on ranking, speed, performance, or leaderboard position.

For each monthly challenge, the following gift cards will be awarded:

Challenge Completion Draw

Among participants who complete the applicable monthly challenge goal:

  • 3 x USD 100 Lameda gift cards
  • 3 x USD 50 Lameda gift cards
  • 5 x USD 30 Lameda gift cards

Community Participation Draw

Among participants who join the Lameda Cycling Club on Strava and record at least one cycling activity during the applicable monthly challenge period:

  • 10 x USD 20 Lameda gift cards

Participants may only win one gift card per monthly challenge.

If a participant is selected for more than one prize in the same monthly challenge, they will receive only one prize, and another eligible participant may be selected for the remaining prize.

  1. Prize Draws and Odds of Winning

Winners will be selected randomly from the pool of eligible participants for each applicable draw.

The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible participants in each monthly challenge and each draw category.

The organizers may conduct the Challenge Completion Draw first and then remove confirmed winners from the Community Participation Draw to allow more participants to be rewarded.

  1. Gift Card Details

All gift cards will be issued electronically.

Winners will be required to provide an email address so Lameda can issue the corresponding electronic gift card.

Gift cards will be issued in USD. If redeemed in another currency, the amount may be automatically converted into the applicable local currency at checkout, according to the exchange rate and policies used by Lameda’s online store or payment platform.

Gift cards are subject to Lameda’s own terms, product availability, shipping policies, taxes, duties, and any applicable restrictions.

Gift cards are non-transferable, non-refundable, and cannot be exchanged for cash.

  1. Participant Discount

All participants who join the Lameda Cycling Club on Strava will be eligible to receive 25% off Lameda products using the discount code:

LAMEDACHALLENGE

The discount code will be valid from June 1 to September 30.

The discount applies to any product available in the Lameda online store.

No minimum distance is required to access the participant discount.

The discount may be subject to product availability, shipping restrictions, taxes, duties, and Lameda’s online store policies.

The discount cannot be combined with other promotions unless otherwise stated by Lameda.

  1. Winner Notification

Winners may be contacted through Strava private message, email, Instagram, or another available communication channel.

Selected winners will have 7 days to respond after being contacted.

If a selected winner cannot be contacted, does not respond within 7 days, does not meet the eligibility requirements, declines the prize, or does not correctly answer the required skill-testing question, another eligible participant may be selected.

  1. Skill-Testing Question

Selected winners may be required to correctly answer a time-limited, unaided skill-testing question before being confirmed as official winners and receiving a prize.

Failure to correctly answer the skill-testing question may result in disqualification and the selection of another eligible participant.

  1. Activity Verification

The organizers reserve the right to review Strava activity data for the purpose of verifying participation, challenge completion, and eligibility.

The organizers may review distance and/or elevation data to determine whether a participant completed the applicable monthly challenge goal.

Because prizes are awarded by random draw and not by ranking or performance, leaderboard position will not determine prize winners.

Activities that appear fraudulent, manually manipulated, duplicated, incomplete, inconsistent with the spirit of the challenge, or not related to cycling may be excluded at the organizers’ discretion.

The organizers are not responsible for activities that are not properly recorded, uploaded, synced, or made visible through Strava.

  1. Safety and Responsibility

Participants are responsible for riding safely and within their own abilities.

All participants must follow local traffic laws, road rules, trail regulations, and safety guidelines. Participants should choose safe routes, use appropriate equipment, and avoid riding in unsafe weather, unsafe locations, or unsafe road conditions.

Participants understand that cycling involves inherent risks and participate voluntarily at their own risk.

GCC and Lameda are not responsible for injuries, accidents, property damage, loss, theft, technical issues, or any other damages that may occur before, during, or after participation in the challenge.

  1. Privacy and Use of Information

By participating, participants understand that GCC and Lameda may review publicly available or club-visible Strava activity data for the purpose of administering the challenge, verifying participation, selecting winners, and communicating results.

This may include, but is not limited to, Strava display name, activity dates, distance, elevation, and challenge completion status.

Participants agree that their name, Strava display name, or social media handle may be used to announce results, winners, and challenge-related communications.

Personal information will only be used for purposes related to the administration, verification, communication, and fulfillment of the challenge, unless the participant has provided additional consent for marketing communications.

  1. Technical Issues

GCC and Lameda are not responsible for technical errors related to Strava, GPS devices, activity uploads, internet connection, privacy settings, account issues, email delivery, discount code issues, or any other platform-related problem that may affect participation, verification, or prize fulfillment.

Participants are responsible for ensuring that their activities are properly recorded and uploaded during the applicable challenge period.

  1. Changes, Suspension, or Cancellation

GCC and Lameda reserve the right to modify, suspend, or cancel the challenge if necessary due to technical issues, safety concerns, platform limitations, fraud, low participation, weather-related concerns, legal restrictions, or circumstances beyond their control.

Any significant changes will be communicated through GCC and/or Lameda channels.

  1. Acceptance of Terms

By joining the Lameda Cycling Club on Strava and participating in the GCC x Lameda Strava Challenge, participants confirm that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
