Infinity Virtual Tour 2026 – Terms and Conditions
1. General Information
The Infinity Virtual Tour 2026 (“the Event”) is a community-based, volunteer-driven indoor cycling event organized by Grimpeurs Cycling Club (GCC), with the support of its partners and sponsors.
The Event promotes community engagement, sportsmanship, consistency and teamwork through friendly competition.
The four stages take place on November 12, 19 and 26, and December 3, 2026, starting at 7:30 AM Eastern Time — Ottawa/Toronto time. Each stage is expected to last approximately 45–60 minutes.
The Event takes place exclusively on MyWhoosh. It is not organized, sponsored or endorsed by MyWhoosh. References to MyWhoosh identify the platform used for participation and recording results.
2. Eligibility and Registration
Participation is open to riders from any city. Membership in GCC or an invited club is not required.
Teams must consist of two or three riders. The team captain submits one registration form containing the details of all team members, including a valid email address for each rider.
Registration closes on November 1, 2026. No registrations will be accepted after that date.
Routes and joining instructions will be emailed to all registered team members on November 4, 2026, eight days before the first stage.
Each participant must:
-
Have a valid MyWhoosh account and comply with the platform’s applicable terms, age requirements and event-access restrictions.
-
Use an indoor cycling setup and power-measuring equipment supported by MyWhoosh.
-
Have MyWhoosh and MyWhoosh Link installed and ready for use.
-
Provide accurate registration and rider-profile information.
-
Verify their equipment, internet connection and device connectivity before each stage.
-
Join each session on time using the instructions supplied by GCC.
Participants below the age of majority in their place of residence must have permission from a parent or legal guardian. Any additional parental-consent requirements imposed by MyWhoosh also apply.
A team captain’s registration does not replace any consent required directly from a participant or their parent or legal guardian.
Free registration · Optional contribution
Registration is free. Teams may choose an optional contribution of CAD 10, CAD 15 or CAD 20, or select CAD 0.
Contributions are per team, not per rider. No purchase or contribution is required to participate or win. Contributing does not affect points, rankings, prize eligibility or the chances of winning a draw.
3. Event Nature, Participant Responsibility and Liability
Participation involves physical exertion and the risks associated with indoor cycling. Each rider is responsible for deciding whether the activity is appropriate for them and for maintaining a safe riding environment and properly installed equipment.
GCC does not control MyWhoosh, participants’ equipment, internet providers or other third-party services, and cannot guarantee uninterrupted access or error-free results.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, GCC, its volunteers, partners and sponsors are not responsible for losses arising from connectivity failures, equipment malfunctions, third-party service interruptions or inaccurate platform data outside their control.
Participants acknowledge the inherent risks of participation and accept responsibility for their own conduct and equipment.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability, obligation or legal right that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
4. Fair Play and Sportsmanship
All riders must uphold integrity, respect and fairness.
Participants must use accurate profile information, including information relevant to performance calculations and bonus eligibility, and must not manipulate equipment, accounts or activity data.
Organizers may investigate, suspend or disqualify a participant or team for:
-
Cheating, data manipulation or deliberate exploitation of platform mechanics.
-
Providing false registration or eligibility information.
-
Offensive, threatening, discriminatory or disrespectful behaviour.
-
Conduct that compromises safety, fairness or the integrity of the Event.
Registered team membership remains fixed throughout the tour. An absent rider remains part of the registered roster when assessing team-completion requirements.
Organizers will assess available evidence and communicate relevant decisions to the affected participant or captain. Decisions concerning Event administration remain subject to applicable law and the correction process below.
5. Scoring, Results and Corrections
The Event has two independent classifications: Individual General Classification (Individual GC) and Team General Classification (Team GC).
Both classifications accumulate points across all four stages, with no stage discarded.
Position points
-
Individual: first place earns 100 points, decreasing by five points for each subsequent position, to a minimum of zero.
-
Team: first place earns 120 points, decreasing by five points for each subsequent position, to a minimum of zero.
-
Completion points and eligible bonuses are added separately.
Completion and inclusion bonuses
-
Each rider receives +30 points per completed stage and +50 points for completing all four stages.
-
Women and riders under 16 on November 12, 2026, receive +10 points per completed stage. Meeting both conditions does not double the bonus.
-
Each eligible rider’s inclusion bonus also contributes to their team’s total.
-
A team receives +30 completion points per stage when at least two registered members finish.
-
A team receives an additional +20 points when all registered members finish a stage.
-
A team receives +30 points when all registered members complete all four stages.
Individual position points and individual completion bonuses are not added to the Team GC. Team scoring uses its own position points, completion bonuses and the inclusion bonuses described above.
Team stage rankings
All registered team members must finish for a team to receive a stage ranking and position points.
| Stage | Method used to determine the team’s time |
|---|---|
| Stage 1 | Fastest registered team member’s time |
| Stage 2 | Last registered team member’s time |
| Stage 3 | Average time of all registered team members |
| Stage 4 | Last registered team member’s time |
An incomplete team does not receive position points. Riders who finish retain their individual points and eligible bonuses.
Additional bonuses
An additional +5 individual bonus and +10 team bonus are available per stage. Their criteria will be disclosed in the November 4 rider email, before the first stage.
Tiebreakers
Individual GC ties are resolved by comparing the number of completed stages, then the number of first places, second places and subsequent places, and finally the placing in the last stage.
Team GC ties are resolved by comparing the number of stages completed by the full team, then the number of first places, second places and subsequent places, and finally the team’s placing in the last stage.
Results and corrections
Results are based on MyWhoosh event data and published weekly on the official Event page. Results and prize announcements may also be shared through GCC’s Strava and social media channels.
Participants may request a correction within 24 hours of publication by emailing hello@gcclub.ca, identifying the rider or team, the stage, the issue and supporting evidence.
Results become final after that period and resolution of timely correction requests, except where a later correction is necessary to address a verified technical error, fraud or disqualification. Material corrections will be communicated.
A connection interruption without a valid finishing result is treated as an incomplete stage unless an evidence-supported correction is accepted.
6. Prizes and Recognition
All gift cards and socks are provided by Lameda.
Team classification prizes
Each registered member of the first four teams in the final Team GC receives one USD 45 Lameda gift card.
All four teams receive the same prize per rider:
-
A team of two riders receives two USD 45 gift cards.
-
A team of three riders receives three USD 45 gift cards.
Individual classification prizes
The five highest-ranked riders in the final Individual GC, after excluding all members of the four prize-winning teams, each receive one CAD 20 Lameda gift card.
Final team and individual classification prizes are based on accumulated points. Completing all four stages is not required for these prizes.
Stage draws
One CAD 50 Lameda gift card will be awarded through a random draw after each stage.
Each draw takes place two days after its corresponding stage:
| Stage | Stage date | Draw date |
|---|---|---|
| Stage 1 | November 12, 2026 | November 14, 2026 |
| Stage 2 | November 19, 2026 | November 21, 2026 |
| Stage 3 | November 26, 2026 | November 28, 2026 |
| Stage 4 | December 3, 2026 | December 5, 2026 |
The following conditions apply:
-
Each eligible rider who completes a stage receives one entry in that stage’s draw.
-
Previous stage-draw winners are excluded from subsequent stage draws.
-
There will be four unique stage-draw winners across the tour.
-
The chance of winning depends on the number of eligible finishers in that stage, excluding previous draw winners.
-
A stage-draw winner may also receive a classification prize.
-
Optional contributions do not provide additional entries or improve the chance of winning.
Persistence recognition — Lameda socks
One pair of Lameda socks will be awarded to each of the twelve lowest-ranked Ottawa/Gatineau residents in the final Individual GC who complete all four stages.
This is the only geographically restricted prize.
Socks will be available for collection on December 8, 2026, five days after the final stage, at a designated location in downtown Ottawa. The exact pickup location and collection instructions will be communicated directly to winners.
Winners are responsible for collecting their socks at the designated location.
Gift card eligibility and delivery
Gift cards have no geographic eligibility restriction, are delivered by email and have no minimum purchase requirement.
Their values remain in the stated currencies: USD or CAD.
Winners must provide accurate contact information and any information reasonably necessary to verify eligibility and arrange delivery or collection.
7. Event Modifications and Cancellations
Organizers may modify dates, routes or technical arrangements, or suspend or cancel a stage or the Event, where reasonably necessary because of platform changes, technical failures, safety concerns or other operational circumstances.
Material changes will be communicated through the registered email addresses and/or the official Event page as soon as reasonably practicable.
If a stage is modified or cancelled, organizers will explain how the change affects scoring, completion bonuses, draw dates, prize distribution and collection arrangements.
Any adjustment will seek to preserve fairness and will be subject to applicable law.
8. Data Privacy
Registration and participation data are used for Event administration, rider communication, eligibility verification, scoring, correction requests and prize fulfilment.
Access to non-public information will be limited to authorized organizers and service providers who need it for those purposes. Where necessary to fulfil a prize, only the information required for that purpose will be provided to the relevant fulfilment partner.
Personal information will not be sold or used for unrelated marketing without separate consent.
Participants acknowledge that their name, team, results and prize recognition may be published on the Event website and GCC’s Strava and social media channels.
Registration email addresses, full dates of birth and private contact details will not be published as part of the results.
Where required, a parent or legal guardian must consent to a minor’s participation and the collection, use and publication of their information.
MyWhoosh, payment processors and other third-party services handle information under their own applicable privacy policies.
GCC will retain non-public Event data only as long as reasonably necessary for the stated purposes and applicable legal obligations.
Privacy questions and requests concerning personal information may be directed to hello@gcclub.ca.
9. Acceptance of Terms
Each participant must review and accept these Terms and Conditions and the Event’s official rules and scoring system before participating.
By submitting a team registration, the captain confirms that all listed riders have been informed of these Terms, have authorized the submission of their information and have provided any required acceptance or parental consent.
Any consent that must be obtained directly from a participant or parent or legal guardian must be collected separately; the captain’s submission does not replace it.
Participation remains subject to MyWhoosh’s applicable terms and technical requirements.
